Isaac Levitan was born in 1860 and was one of the most significant landscape painters of the 19th century. He did not chase bright colors and spectacular views. Everything was simple and clear.

Each appearance of a new work of Levitan was his victory. They admired him, they talked about him everywhere. He was recognized as a great master.

Despite his complex nature, when he could easily fall into terrible spleen or anger, with a desire for suicide, in his soul there was always a place for a clean and soulful mood for writing paintings, which can be seen in all his works.

The effects that Levitan achieved in his landscapes are amazing, causing delight. Using the watercolor technique, the artist achieved purity of color and leaf movements, as if the work was created in a lyrical landscape genre. He loved to work in this particular technique, creating amazing works. The artist very subtly felt nature.

The mood of this picture is so unsteady and elusive that involuntarily, breathlessness for the feeling of all the purity of the autumn air. Departing completely into contemplation, the imagination dissolves in a thick white mist just like trees.

The sensitivity of the painting involves a certain sketchiness, external incompleteness, and to be more precise - creates a feeling of incompleteness. All these techniques in painting are a distinctive feature of pastels and watercolor.

From childhood, he remembered beautiful glades covered with leaves, sad and lush corners of his native expanses with birches and other various trees that the Russian land is rich in.

The technique of the style of pictorial symbolism, Levitan took in the last years of his work, later having formed his own direction, using later written paintings of later known paintings.
